Mr. Wizard has passed away. He was already an old man when I saw him every morning on Nickelodeon, but he was a rock star to me. I figured out to how to get into the shower and out in time to watch that day's episode. I didn't care if I had seen it already, it was Mr. Wizard!
I learned that you CAN eat in any position because of our throat muscles. After I learned that I loved to eat apples while hanging off the couch upside down. "Mr. Wizard said..." was my excuse and still is when I tick the hubby off by laying down while eating.
Oh, how you inspired the nrrd in me. There are days when I wish your show was still on (followed by "You Can't Do That on Television") so that I can pretend to be 12 again.
Thanks for teaching me what a Bunsen burner & flask was before even got my grubby hands on it. Thanks for teaching me to use the meniscus to measure out liquids before I even stepped into a lab.
Just plain thanks...for everything.
