Heartbreak and ear ache
Miss Ella has been battling a cold on and off for a few weeks. I thought we had passed it all a few days ago. Then today she was a tad weepy after a lunch date with the Huffercoopers. I thought she just needed a nap, so she went to bed when we got her home. She rested and then came out to play. After I took a short nap, she wanted to go for a walk. We did, but she really wanted me to carry her and she had this look of sorrow on her face. Not a good sign. We got home, popped some popcorn, popped in "The Last Unicorn" (She does NOT like Mommy Fortuna and I have skip those scenes), and cuddled. Then outta no where she cries like something is hurting her. Her ears.

My heart was just breaking watching her cry and cry. I have NEVER seen her cry like that. She could barely tell us what was wrong.

The hubby called the doctor and she cried, "I don't want to go to the doctor!" Very strange because she loves going to the doctor. I guess that's how much she was hurting. And apparently after 2 years, doctors don't give antibiotics for ear infections. So it's Motrin & rest for Miss Ella.

Of course we were out of Motrin and the hubby had to go out to get some. He asked Ella is she wanted anything else (we hadn't had dinner yet) and she looks up with her big brown eyes and says. "A pretzel." We laugh and the hubby decides to hit the Target instead of CVS. I pop in "Curious George" and we cuddle some more.

She pretty much fell asleep on the couch near the end of the movie. Hopefully a few days of Motrin and taking it easy will take care of the problem. I would hate to leave the hubby with a sick child.

Gotta say that she is still adorable when she's sick. She lays on the couch wrapped up in a blanket, her giraffe, and a warm compress. She's beautiful even thou I know she's not feeling herself. And at times like this, I so love her and I feel even more like a mother.
