She's home!
I finally got a nap in this afternoon. I passed out during episode 3 of my Xena marathon. Since it was more of a funny episode, I just went on with my marathon once I woke up.

Then 5:30 came around and I saw the car in the garage! My baby's home! I ran to the back door to scoop her up only to be met by HIS EYES. When the hubby has those eyes, I know my lil feminista has been a bad lil monkey.

Sure enough, day two of the recess boycott.

Yesterday along with 2 other classmates, Ella refused to put her coat on to go outside. The other 2 cried when they couldn't go outside, but Ella was confident in calling her teacher's bluff. She won.

Today, she was also confident, but lost. The teacher asked another teacher to sit with Ella and 1 other classmate while the other kids played outside.

Tonight she's punished. No books. No toys. No bubbles in her bath. Nothing but dinner, bath, and then bed. She's so smart that it frustrates her teachers. Normal punishment for a 2-year-old works on everyone else, but Ella. As if she knows it is all temporary and not a big deal.

She also inherited by poker face. She just smiles at you when you're trying to lecture her. I'm starting to realize why my dad spanked me so much. But since I vowed never to hit her AND I know why she's smiling - it's not sass, it's nervousness - she escapes the belt. But it's so gawd damn frustrating!

Hello terrible 3s.
