I subscribe to a zillion eNewsletters. I noticed about a year ago that most organizations have gotten into sending graphics inside the newsletters. I always thought it was just for looks.

THEN I found out that there's a new kewl (?) toy that allows the sender to know not only that you opened the email (which is why Yahoo & Hotmail block images in emails as a default) but also if you forward it or clicked on a link inside it.

I say it's kewl because I'd like the people who I subscribe to to know that I'm reading their stuff. But then again the spammers have to ruin the fun. Oh, well.

I'm sure this is old news to most of you all, but I thought I'd share anyways.
