Hot Topic on the hot seat

I just got the heads up that "Hot Topic", the suburban mall answer to "where can I find something to wear that's kewl, yet will freak my parents out?" has admitted to religious discrimination.

Since I'm an old geezer now (28), I've never picked up a copy of New Witch, but it's a sister magazine to some other wicca mags that I do read. So I know it must be a kick ass mag for the younger set. (whoa...that was an old geezer saying! yikes!) I love that their website starts out with the following:

Today while eating breakfast, I read the usual litany of depressing headlines in the morning paper. The hurts of the world are so many and so huge that the list of worthy causes seems infinite. What's a lone child of Mama Gaia to do?

No, sticking your head in the sand doesn't count. Bad Pagan, no doughnut! (Errr… organic wheat muffin.) And yes, I'm talking about more than lighting a candle and asking the Gods to bring balance to the Earth. Ritual has its place, but "the Gods help them who help themselves." So … how do you live your convictions without getting overwhelmed, discouraged and burnt out?
