If the destruction of the U.S. of A. was the ultimate goal of the terrorist attacks, then they've almost won. We can't have a major event (Super Bowl, World Series, 4th of July Parade) without an army of police hovering over us. I try to buy books with cash - no trail left behind. I go back & forth between paranoid and denial. It's utterly insane what we've let the government do to us.

I can't say that it would be different if the chads fell the other way, if Gore was strong enough to win his home state, or if everyone's vote did count (I'm tired of blaming Nader). What I can say is that IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER! What matters is what is going on now. Some people are too scared shitless to think straight and that's just the way the adminstration wants it. So straighten up, stand tall, and help that scared friend of yours see the light. We can battle terrorism without living in fear. If not, why battle it at all?
