With pitchers & catchers reporting for our Cubbies today, I went to Target and thought, maybe I should get Ella a swimsuit. I wasn't that serious until I saw this on the clearance rack:
I can't wait until the hubby sees it tonight.
On second thought...maybe I should have someone here with me. LOL!

We think that Miss Ella is going thru another big growth spurt. She's very clingy and cranky in bed. She's also very sleepy. She can go to sleep at 6 pm and sleep almost until 6 am, of course with the occasional sip of milk in her sleep. It's just awful to see her crying & crying and knowing that there's nothing I can do for her. It's wears on me too. Last night she just did not want to be let down.
Some say that you need to let a baby cry it out. But for how long? I can't take too much of it. I can't leave the apt and sit on the stoop outside while she cries...this is Chicago and people call police. *sigh* So I hold her. I put her down with daddy to sleep. I don't mind the co-sleeping too much. I just go crazy when all I want to do is get up to pee and she cries bloody murder. I can't think straight sometimes...if you can't tell by my writing! LOL!
I have to keep telling myself that this lil person is growing at a huge rate. She's already doubled her weight in six months and grown 7 inches. That's gotta hurt! I was feeling guilty about not having her home with me during my vacation, but dang, I need a vacation from her some days. Isn't that awful? But it's the truth. I'm also adjusting and it's very hard some days.
Then again some days being a mom is a beautiful and wonderful thing.

After many, many attempts and weeks of crawling backwards, my lil Ella crawled forward. It was amazing. The hubby had her on the as we were getting ready for work. He yelled for me and I ran in and saw her scooting her lil tush down the bed after a toy. It was earthshaking! Really! My lil baby is getting so big, so fast.
Sunday she turned six months!
So now she babbles (uh-ma, uh-da, uh-wa), laughs, crawls, sits up, pulls herself to her feet, and sometimes sits in a crouched position. Maybe she'll be a catcher? This grrl is going to be running around before we all know it.

According to mimi smartypants and myself, no. Miss Ella had a cold last week - gave it to both daddy & mommy promptly. At least she knows how to share properly.
Even thou it was sad to see her sick, she's so damn cute when she coughs! She smiles thru it all, well except when it's time for mommy to suck all her snot out with the blue bulb of doom.
Of course with her being sick and me being out of town, she's had a lot of personal attention lately. She's use to being held while she sleeps. This is not a good thing. Of course, our lazy asses are to blame as well. I could get up when she cries, change her diaper, nurse her and then put her BACK in her crib. Oh, no...I must let her fall asleep with me in bed at 2 am and let her stay there. Pseudo-co-sleeping. If I'm going to get any real sleep soon, I must break her of this habit.
It's hard thou. It's hard to go find my lil pumpkin crying and not bring her to bed. It's very hard for daddy to do that as well. She's got us wrapped around this tiny lil fingers of hers...we're doomed.

Growing Pains
